Good Wednesday
afternoon! I dedicate this devotional today to my sweet Mother Colleen who
would have been 58 years young today had she not been killed by a drunk
driver…I miss you Mom and I always will…These verses were read at
my Mother’s funeral nearly 4 years ago…
“There
is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: a time
to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to
kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep
and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter
stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain, a
time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a
time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.”
-Ecclesiastes
3:1-8 NLT
Father
in Heaven I come humbly to Your throne today in selfish sadness missing my
Mother. I know in my heart that she dances in Heaven with Jesus and yet I long
for her embrace…her voice…her love…in person! I rejoice for
her today but I almost equally miss her…I know Your Word says there is a
time for everything and I believe this with all my heart! I know that
everything happens for a reason too…But today I mourn the loss of one of
my best friends…my biggest supporters…my Mom and I guess this is
the “time” for me to feel exactly what I feel today…Thank You
for the promise I have to see my precious Mother again when my time comes to
leave this world and join You in Heaven. In Jesus name I pray…AMEN!
Take
Care & God Bless,
